  1. SOOO EASY and the BEST strawberry ice cream I've ever had. WHAT A TREAT! Recipe said to use whatever berries I had fresh and the strawberries were so ripe and needed to be eaten and WOW. This recipe is a keeper!

  2. I preferred to drizzle the sauce over the ice cream...it took away the waiting time...we really enjoyed it...I made it with the blackberries...still don't like the seeds...this is very tasty and I used splenda instead of sugar to cut down the calories...this will be made again...in fact I still have some of the sauce and ice cream...made for "Beach Party"...tag game

  3. Wow, who can resist such an easy yet deliciously sweet treat! I used strawberries (they were the freshest in the store at the time), and it was such a wonderful way to improve a simple bowl of vanilla ice cream. The most difficult part was waiting for the ice cream to freeze enough to scoop it into bowls It made for a wonderful treat on this hot summer day. Thank you, LifeIsGood.

  4. We found some boysenberries at the farmers market yesterday. They were delicious in this great recipe over vanilla ice cream.

  5. Needed to use up fresh blackberries from the garden so decided to use this, I started with a recipe on here for home made vanilla custard ice cream then followed your directions for preparing and mixing the berries. Wonderful, even had some of the berries left over and was so good hubby added them to his morning cereal. Topped the ice cream with hot fudge and whipped cream and WOW, over the top good

Hello! I have a wonderful husband and two fantastic kids. I love to read, have fun with family and friends, stay active with: running; soccer; golf; biking; hiking; and gardening. I love to travel. I'm looking forward to more international travel someday. Cooking has become a passion for me. I love to read cookbooks, watch the Food Network, and try new recipes. I have way too many cookbooks! A few of my favorites are: Barefoot Contessa (any - but especially 'Family Style'),Rachael Ray 30-Minute Meals 2, Roasting by Barbara Kafka, Beyond Parsley & The Black Dog Summer on the Vineyard Cookbook. I try to carefully choose recipes that I think my family will enjoy, which is why most of my ratings are 3-5 stars. Happy cooking!
