I don't think I can give this an accurate rating. I decided to make this for a baby shower. I began making it the day before, but our oven kind of died while I was cooking the first of the two cheesecakes (the first was just a plain one, not this recipe). I couldn't put this one in our oven, so I took it to my grandma's house, who lives two blocks away. I finished making it, and I told her how long she had to cook it for and how hot because I had to go to a softball game. Well, she didn't hear the timer when it went off, so it got minorly singed around the edges and overcooked in the middle. Thus, the conclusion to my long tale... I don't really know if it was the BEST cheesecake in the world because it got overcooked. It sure did look pretty though. Thanks for posting.

This was the first cheesecake I have ever made. I did use a water bath but, it still cracked. If I had to guess, I didn't let it cool enough before putting it in the fridge. My boyfriend loves cheesecake and he said that it was the best he had ever had. I did add cinnamon and nutmeg to the crust and it was perfect. I have alwasy heard horror stories about making cheesecakes. This is a very easy recipe to follow. I will be making this again soon!! Thanks Marie!!!

Excellent! I made this for Thanksgiving and everyone loved it. I was told it was as good (if not better) than store-bought. I also placed a pan of water on the bottom rack as others mentioned and did not have cracks, the swirl looked really great!

I topped this cheesecake with freshly made whipped cream and less than 10 minutes later it was sold out at our church bake sale! I ,too, made it using a hot water bath and found no cracks! This was an easy recipe with great results! SO YUMMY!

We had a family gathering this last weekend, and since we all love cheesecake, I thought I'd try your recipe, Marie..I'm glad I did..it's a winner! Everyone loved it..it did have a little crack on the top, after it cooled..but I might try placing hot water on the bottom rack next time to see if that will help. I'm impressed with the creamy taste..and the strawberries give it a pretty appearance. I'll be making this again, for sure.

Mmm, wonderfully creamy and very delicious, and so pretty to look at! I added 1/2 ts of cinnamon to the crust and made some small modifications so I got even gram measurements (600 g cream cheese and consequently 175 ml sugar; 300 g frozen strawberries), and it all came together beautifully! I filled a jelly roll pan with hot water and placed it on the bottom of the oven to get a "semi water bath" for the cake - it wasn't called for in the instructions but was a force of habit! :-) And, for once, I didn't overbake my cheesecake! Hurrah! A big hit all around - thank you so much for the recipe!
