I used to enjoy this with my Grandmother when I was a young girl. It always made me feel special that we shared this "elegant" dessert together. Thank you for the smile today. I am going to pass the tradition on with my own Granddaughters now.

Very interesting! I tagged this because I would never think to put brown sugar together with sour cream yet it turned out great! DH tastes with his eyes, so refused to try it, but more for me! Note to self: let strawberries come to room temp first.... isn't so cold on teeth that way!

This is an awesome recipe! I have always enjoyed dipping strawberries in sugar, but never thought of brown sugar. The sour cream is a nice addition as well. Like kiwidutch says, it does balance the taste. I can't wait to try this recipe when the strawberries are in season here. So good. Thanks for sharing.

Really good and different! When I saw this recipe, I thought I wouldn't like it, so because of that, I had to try it. I had all 3 ingredients on hand, so I went to the kitchen and whipped up just a few. Yum! My 5 yr old didn't like it, so I ate them all myself :)

Adored these! I assumed at first that they would be rather sweet, but the sour cream balances out the brown sugar and these were a treat indeed. The texture combination of the sugar/sourcream/strawberries was also very good... and I will be making these as an amuse for my next dinner party. Please see my rating system: 5 excellent stars for a recipe that is quick, easy, different and tasty. Thanks!

I cannot get enough of these sweet ripe strawberries... I love having a "pick your own" farm so close to my house... it's strawberry season right now and I just love the combination of sour cream and brown sugar!!!

This was very good and refreshing! I used light sour cream. The brown sugar really added a lot, it was sweeter than I expected, which I liked. Thanks for a great, easy treat!
