I made these several weeks ago, and realized I forgot to review them. My daughters and I had a fun time making these. I let them help with rolling on the powdered sugar. I really liked the subtle honey flavor that came through. Thanks for sharing this recipe!
Yummy little peanut butter-y drops! I left off the sugar and just used the honey called for as the sweetener, and it was sweet enough for my tastes. I didn't have powdered sugar or peanuts on-hand, so I just rolled these in some Sucanat (dehydrated cane juice) that I whirred in the blender for a minute to give it a more powdery, less grainy texture. Yummy peanut butter flavor. I made a half recipe, and I substituted a small bit (about 2 tsp) of the milk powder for some flaxmeal I had to use up. These were very dry as you said in the recipe. I added a teeny bit of unrefined peanut oil after making the first few just to help them stay together a bit better. I think these would be good, too, if you wanted to mix some mini chocolate chips in. I got 13 1 inch balls from a half recipe. Yummy- easy to make and not half bad for you! Very kid friendly too, I'd think. My mom used to make stuff with similar ingredients to this for us when we were little and called it "Peanut Butter Play-doh," Thanks eebrag, we always enjoy your recipes! :)
I forgot to add the stars to my review
These were really tasty little tidbits! They were a tad dry, and demanded a cold glass of milk. My DH and DS loved them too! Thank you!
These are very good. Kids love them alot. I've made them before and they went very well. I didn't use peanuts in these, just all the basic stuff that's there in the recipe.
