I made this yesterday. Since I didn't have popsicle sticks or anything that would work well for a popsicle mold, I just poured the mix into an ice cube tray. Even though my cantaloupe wasn't all that sweet, the final product turned out a little sweeter than I would have preferred. Next time, I think I will reduce the sugar some and consider using either honeydew or strawberries in lieu of the cantaloupe. But that's just a matter of personal preference. I will definitely be keeping this recipe around to experiment with. Thanks!

These were great! They remind me of a Weiss Bar that we have in Australia - the kids loved them too

Yum! I made these last night and they turned out great! Instead of the whipping cream I used one can of Non-fat evaporated milk. Also I cut the sugar down to 1/4 cup and it was definitely sweet enough! I think next I will try this recipe with honeydew! Thanks for the recipe:)

OMgosh!! Very good. I used just 1/4 cup sugar and 2 cups cantaloupe. Could use 1/2 and 1/2 or even whole milk and would still be yummy. What a delicious treat!!

I also reduced the sugar a bit and increased the cantaloupe to about 2 1/4 cups. I froze it in a dish and scooped it out into bowls right before it got really solid. Wonderful, summery flavor. Just a lovely dessert!

My DD(10)loves cantalope so she made these all by herself! She used a great big cantalope fresh from the local farmers market and doubled the recipe. I have not tried it yet but she said that they are great. Thanks!!!

My canteloupe was very ripe, so I actually reduced the sugar to only 1/2 cup and I was very happy with the sweetness. Bursting with summery canteloupe flavor and creamy and yummy. I got 8 popsicles in my mold and still had enough mixture for about 4 more leftover. I definitely think that you could use less cream and more canteloupe or evaporated milk to make this a little less decadent. Kind of like creamsicles, but with cantaloupe flavor instead of orange.

Simple and absolutely delicious! Creamy, sweet and a perfect treat for hot summer days. Thanks, Courtney, for posting!! UPDATE: To cut down on the fat, evaporated milk works very nicely. Not QUITE as good as with whipping cream but still YUMMY!

Yum and double yum! I didn't have popsicle molds so used a pan and then broke it up later. Thanks for a lovely refreshing dessert and/or treat!

Oh wow, these are super rich and creamy and delicious! I'm excited about experimenting with other kinds of fruit! (And I might try tinkering with the cream to fruit ratio in hopes of achieving something a little bit more figure friendly. ;)) Thanks so much for the recipe!!

These freezer pops are wonderfully refreshing on a hot day. I made exactly as directed and used my Push Pop-Up molds. I love having new ways to use cantaloupe and this recipe is a great one! Thanks, ocurt Schrock!
