YUM. I didn't want 2 quarts of caramel, and didn't want to throw out half a can of condensed milk, So I kept the condensed milk at a full can, but halved the balance of the ingredients and it turned out great!
Be careful when adding the water, it really sputters and spatters , And make sure you have a pot that is double the size of the ingredients, everything bubbles up. So good! Had to keep myself from "testing" it over..and over. and over .... this is a keeper. Delish.

Fantastic recipe! I cut it in half and it still made a lot of sauce. It's a little bit of work, but worth every minute of it! Thanks for sharing.

So easy and yummy, I can't keep my spoon out of the jar. This recipe filled three jars for me and was delicious! Thank you!

I love this recipe, I have made it a few times now. Once using pancake syrup because I was out of corn syrup. It made 3 pint of sauce, which will keep us going for a while.

Yummy. I used this as the caramel on a turtle cake. Mmmmm... Thanks! (and goodness, it really does make a lot, doesn't it? I was worried and nearly doubled it, and I'm glad I didn't--I have so much leftover!

This went over as well as your chocolate sauce! Far superior to any store brand caramel sauces I have ever had. Won't be finding jars of caramel sauce in my grocery cart after tasting this one. I only made half a batch this time around but come next summer I will be keeping a good supply on hand for those summer treats. Thank you!
