Barbara Bush's Apple Crisp

Directions:

Mound apples in buttered pie plate and pour orange juice over them.

In separate bowl, combine sugar, flour, spices and salt.

Cut in butter until mixture is crumbly.

Sprinkle over apples.

Bake at 375 for 45 minutes or until apples are tender and topping is crisp.

Serve warm.

I am a sucker for good apple crisp. A friend of mine made some up north at his cabin. He is a finicky type of cook so I knew it should be good...I was NOT dissapointed. You will have to try this one and compare to yours.

This is the recipe I've been using for apple crsip and last night I made it for company, too. I cut amount of sugar is half and it was perfect. Thanks.
