Very light and refreshing strawberries. They can be served over yogart, panna cotta or eaten alone. I love this for a guilt free desert.

Ingredients Nutrition

  • 2 pints of fresh strawberries
  • 2 12 tablespoons balsamic vinegar
  • 1 tablespoon sugar


  1. cut strawberries anyway you like. Toss with the vinegar and sugar and set aside at room temperature for 30 minutes to 1 hour. Can add a little pepper if you like. I also let soak in refrigerator if I want cold berries.

Loved this! I too replaced the sugar with the same amount of Splenda. My boys thought the vinegar was too strong, but they're not balsamic lovers anyway. So they don't count. ;) I added a bit of black pepper and was pleasantly surprised with the added dimension. Thanks for posting, mamadeedee! Made & enjoyed for the French Forum's Strawberry Fair!

I made this, but used splenda instead of sugar. Strawberries were still awesome and I was surprised how well the balsamic vinegar worked in this. Will definately make this again.
