Oh what a treat this was! My sister and I went apple picking and got some Macintosh apples.. A WHOLE LOT OF THEM! This is the first thing we made and it was excellent!!! The filling was creamy like cheesecake but the apples on top along with the crust just sent it over the top for us! Need I say delicious? Well ok then DELICIOUS!!! Thank you for sharing your recipe with us Dojemi! Linda

This turned out absolutely delicious... a perfect cheesecake with a wonderful layer of apples on top. I've tried a similar recipe which had a graham cracker crust, but I think this crust is better because it doesn't compete with the flavor of the apples. This definitely goes into my favorites. I can't wait to make it again actually ! Not important, but the only things I did differently from the instructions was... I added the sugar and cinnamon to the apples before baking the apples 15 minutes... and I cut the apples into thin slices and then into smaller, more bite-size pieces.
